Question from Alphanso:Could someone tell me the importance of "Aavahan or Invocation or Praan Prathishta" on an idol / picture of a deity? And would Swami perform this for us if requested?Nanda's tentative response:Swamiji empowers us to do our own Prana Pratishta. He has outlined the steps for the Prana Pratishta in many of the texts, and also given a demo in his online classes.(Check Cosmic Puja classes). As to the importance of Prana Pratishta - Swamiji can you please comment. Thank you so much.

Swamiji's response:The establishment of life is an extremely empowering practice. When we can establish life within our symbol of divinity, it actually becomes the representative of divinity to us. We become the reflection of that divinity, and the union between the deity and the worshiper is complete.
