Guest guest
Question from " durbaksh " <rajans: There were a few comments I picked up from the multi task discussion. " There is something to be said about completing one task at a time with focus versus multitasking. " " When we multitask, we are not paying attention to any one particular activity. We are just giving it enough mind in order to keep it going " . I have a rather chaotic life as an accountant and although I have Chandi Maa as my Ishta Devi I find that I am going through phases when I am inclined to pray to Shiva or Hanuman. Should I first of all perfect my worship of my ishta devta before other gods/goddess's? does the multi task rules also apply here? Can Swami Jee shed some light on whats happening and what to do? Swamiji's answer: The worship of the various forms of divinity will help in the worship of your ishta devata. For example, without learning from our Guru, how will we learn about our ishta? The worship of the Guru is necessary for effective learning. We must pay attention. Without worship Ganesh, the Lord of Wisdom, how will we understand who the ishta is and the changes that will take place in our lives? This is not multitasking. Multitasking is performing several different operations from several different projects at the same time. That is not the most efficient. It is more efficient to pay attention to what we are doing, when we are doing it.
