Guest guest
Vish, [Morningstar], blessed be in peace and in all good:Loss of a son, and for me, loss of a brother a little over four years now, is hard to find meaning in emptiness. If what is to be said helps in your loss and grief, I pray peace will abide forever. In telling this short story, I share to walk with you for a moment in time.I was on the plane flying to Los Angeles when my brother left his body. I would not make it to see him for the last time, but did nevertheless, on the plane! I saw him to visit me on the plane, and to tell me, "thank you Ed, and I love you...I got to go now, bye". Immediately, I knew Rich was gone from this world to continue his next assignment in "LIFE", even in death. An Angel was present with him and guiding him, and speaking to him, saying, "this way, come now, it's time to go now"...... It was for me the anticipation of looking for him, even before he passed to see me on the plane...it seemed to unfold before me, watching this as it happened, like a drama, a silent film, if you will. I have worked in Hospice for a time, and had similar experiences with people leaving their bodies, as I coached them in the process with family sometimes being present and sometimes not. I felt the grief deeply, but knew bother was on his journey to contunue what is needed to be accomplished for the next life and in the next life. I don't wish to minimize your pain of loss, but instead hope to help strenghten what your heart maybe going through, in the hope that you can cope in this time of loss and grief, and to share the walk for a moment, and that's not to say, I know what you're going through. I can't know the loss of a Child... My brother is still with me, as I know your son is with you, even now. If this note to you causes you more pain, please forgive me, it is not my heart to do so...This note to you I hope can help ease your pain of sorrow and deep loss in the reality of life after. I normally would not speak about to others who are not practicing Hunduism. I know this commuity is with you, and holds you dear. My heart prays your peace. In God there is no death...but life everlasting...And although the physical has changed, the spiritual mind has not. In all the most precious heart of the Lord, OM SHANTI PREMA,Jai MAA, Jai Swamiji and HARI OM, My heart, I am your brother,Edward inspectionconnection108 <inspectionconnection108To: Sent: Friday, June 1, 2007 12:04:19 AM[www.ShreeMaa.org] Shankar Acharaya's Blessing- overcoming pain and suffering Namaste: As I read the letters to Morningsong, and felt the outpouring of love and support, I looked for guidance in dealing with this pain in the texts that Maa and Swami have given us. I asked: "what is the cure for pain and suffering? The 5 verses of the Sadhana Pancakam, from the Advanced Shiva Puja text, refreshed my heart and soul and gave me a clarity of purpose. I wanted to share with you all. This is the second verse, of 5, and Shankar Acharaya is telling us to: "maintain the association with true people, and take refuge with devotion in the Supreme Divinity, and will all your capacity, try to befriend the universe, and very quickly renounce the fruits of your labors. Seek out the company of the true and knowledgeable people, {Maa and Swami},and serve the sandals of their lotus feet, and ask from them even one letter of the knowledge of Brahman and listen to the great words of wisdom from the Vedas." If we identify with the world, we suffer. Attachements cause pain and suffering. Diving deep into our hearts, we find God waiting for us, and this brings relief from the pain and sorrow, and allows us to know that life is transitory, and we return to the relative world, renewed and sure that, with all our being, we have to work to break the bonds of attachement and strive to be One with Her. Only in that Union, will pain cease. I know this is not easy, and I know it takes time, but, it is the reason we are here on this Earth. Maa Shakti will give us these lessons until we learn from them, and rise higher. I pray that we as a family can support each other as each of us faces these dark nights of the soul.
