Guest guest
Namaste: Is anyone still doing the peace mantra daily? What are your experiences? I have continued doing it daily and find it really flows. The feeling of peace is not really apparent to me, but I enjoy the mantra and have faith in Maa that doing it will help me and the world. Guest guest
Hi Vishweshwar. Yes I am still doing the peace mantra, nearly everyday. Recently the number of malas I do has dropped and I have not been as regular as I was but I still enjoy doing the practice and intend to complete it. I am just over half way through it and intend to go right up to the end of the year - no matter how many mantras that might be. I'm sure others are still perservering. I too would like to hear others experiences. Guest guest
Each day when reciting mantra peace is overwhelming. This is indeed a wonderful feeling. After clearing the 100,000 the peace became more evident. It appears to become stronger and stronger. Once clearing out the negitiveness in the resiters body it then overflows to all around radiating out futher each time. Thank you Maa and Swami for sending us on the wonderful journey of PEACE. inspectionconnection108 <inspectionconnection108 wrote: Namaste: Is anyone still doing the peace mantra daily? Guest guest
Dear Vish, Namaste. I am still doing the peace mantra at least 2 malas daily and though i share the sentiments your expressed, this morning i felt really sleepy on awakening i just wanted to return to bed. During preparation for worship it was a task to do pranyam or keep the mind fixed on a anything but i tried to silently chant the peace mantra as much as possible. At about 4:30 I sat for worship, sleep still very present, i kept praying " Maa please open these eyes that this child may serve You as You deserve. " During recitation of prayers from the Chandi, something told me to sing the Chandi aarati and dance and make offerings like at the Mandir - I offered light, incense, cloth and a flower. I instantly felt such a beautiful wave of peace, and all these hours after that peace still remains. Thanks for giving this opportunity to share. Guest guest
Namaste Vishweshwar, Early on I was getting up every morning and counting using a rudraksha mala to do my UPS japa. Lately I have been using a hand-tally-counter and doing quantity rather than quality, counting while in the car or while watching the kids at the park. I know Swamiji says the goal is not to have an experience but for me, the experience of doing japa in an asana while the house is quiet is much better. No surprises there. As soon as I can muster the willpower I will start my morning japa again using the pranayama instructions Swamiji gave in the Devi Gita class. I will also try sitting for a fixed period of time and counting on the hand counter instead of sitting for a fixed number of malas. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Hello vishweshwar, I apologize for my late reply, I've gotten a bit behind in my email! I just started doing the peace mantra about a week ago, daily. What I am doing is reciting the mantra 10x on my mala and then stopping to say the prayer in English to make the connection between the mantra and the feeling and intention of peace, then continuing for the next 10x and so on. (Hope that's okay!) Seems to be working; the more I chant the more natural it feels. I love this mantra, and feel blessed to be able to participate in it, joyful to imagine the perfect unfolding of Divine Mother's peace in this beautiful creation of Hers.
