Offering Camphor and related puja vidhi questions During Devata Pranam

Namaste,

 

Im uncertain of where we are to offer the camphor

during the Devata Pranam, is it starting with Om agnir

jyothir agnihi Svaaha? Also during the Achaamanam,

starting with Om Keshavaaya namaha Svaahaa, are we

supposed to put a spoon of water in our right hand and

then sip the water into our mouth and swallow? If so,

do we take 3 sips of water for Om Vishnuhu Om

Vishnuhu, Om Vishnuhu? When lighting the araati lamp,

is it correct to burn the camphor in the ghee first so

that the ghee takes on a camphor scent? Why is it in

some temples they put rice into the araathi lamp with

the ghee....is it appropriate for us to do this? At

the beginning and end of each chapter do we ring the

bell? How do we ring the bell?
