Guest guest
NAMASTE: As I read the translation of the Chandi verses below in your post, I was transported back to tonight's class in the Temple. The experience I had during class was sublime, yet so simple. The Temple was very warm, it was about 104 at the Mandir today. I was concerned that it would be so hot by the fire. Yet, as soon as Swami started to read the evening story, my mind became quieter and quieter, and the thoughts about heat and sweating just melted away. It was as if Swami just charmed my mind into its simplest state, where nothing mattered except listening to the story, and absorbing every morsel of nectar from Swami's words. His words and bhava were so compelling and powerful that the mind surrendered and just " let go " . The vision of Swami, and the power of the message was so strong that the thoughts could not resist. They just flew away. Just like Maa Chandi, Swami swept away all that was unnecessary and brought me " home " . A simple yet compelling experience. Remembering one's true nature, which is just simplicity itself. Swami and Maa have that purifying effect. They are Chandi and Shiva incarnated, here and now, for the benefit of this world, for our liberation. We cried and prayed and asked for help, and they incarnated. Just as it states in the Chandi. Mother Earth, so soiled and spoiled, She cried, and they came. This is the miracle of this age.
