Question from a devotee:I would like to know some more about 2 rare texts:1. Tantra Chandi Paath2. Shakta PramodWhat is the significance of the Tantra Chandi vis a vis the Chandi Paath as we study it?Are these available anywhere? And if yes, then where can I get them.Swamiji's response:The Chandi Path is a Puranic text with a Tantric application. It is Puranic because it comes from Markandeya Purana. Its application is Tantric because it espouses the tradition of worship of the Divine Mother.

I know of only one Chandi Path, which some commentators may call the Tantric Chandi Path. But I believe it is the same text referred to also as the Devi Mahatmyam, Durga Saptashati, and various other names.

The Shakta Pramoda is the cause of excessive joy or delight within the devotees of the Goddess, as also within the Goddess Herself. I have never studied the text, so I cannot comment further.
