The 27th day of July is a very special day, because......it is Donna's

birthday! Donna dear, all your friends and family at the Devi Mandir

are happy to celebrate your birthday! So we went to

Ramakrishna's Treasure House and received a special Gem of Wisdom to

present to you as our birthday gift, as a token of our love and

appreciation:

 

" I am going to tell you the way of success, how you can become free

even while living in the midst of all this worldly bondage, how to

live in this worldly ocean of samsara without getting wet. The

individual who is able to perform his or her functions in the world

with their mind and attention focused on the feet of God are blessed

and heroic individuals. For example, a man is walking along carrying

two mounds (eighty kilos) on top of his head when he sees a groom

marching off in a bridal procession on the way to meet his future

wife. There is such a heavy load on his head, yet still he is able to

see the groom. If you don't have a lot of energy and determination,

you are not going to be succesful. "
