HAPPY GURU POORNIMA!!!!

That was amazing from the yagya with Swami and Maa in

the morning, to the Chandi recitation, I could hear

Amritananda chanting over or just behind Swamijis

voice. That Bhav is contagious and due to pure Grace

it seems we are succumbing to the infectious

beneficial virus. Strangely my mom called me in the

morning, and sounded very cheerful. We went and had

breakfast together, and then we watched the yagya and

with each swaha we offered a flower together. My mom

could feel the Shakthi. Wah!!!! What a blessing!!!

Hello Everyone, thank you for the invitation to explore Guru

Purnima...I was just heading out to the lake when I checked my email

and discovered the post on Friday re: this topic. Being new to all

this, I wasn't sure what to do...but Nature has a way of taking care of

these things. I got out to the lake on Friday night and took a walk

around the lake. On my walk, I came upon a mother racoon and three

babies. They saw me coming, and scampered...the three babies up a

tree, and mom at the bottom, all of them staring at me, the babies as

if to say, " You can't see us if we are REALLY STILL! " and the mama

saying, " Don't even think about messing with my babies! " I thought

about the universality of motherhood, the fierceness and protectiveness

of new life. (Well, and how cute they were.)

Saturday night, I sat down at the lakeshore and watched the full moon

rise on the horizon. She was a beauty. I said prayers of gratitude

for all of the teachers I could think of. I have had so many. Always,

Divine Mother has been seeking to protect and guide me. Truly, we are

all the product of Her Great Providence. Then I said a mala of the

world peace sankalpa in gratitude for Shree Maa and Swamiji and their

generous outpouring of love for the benefit of the entire universe.

I also took a personal vow to dedicate one day each, starting

tomorrow, to the teachings from " Shree Maa's Message to Her Children " ,

which was posted a while ago. Tomorrow I will focus on " Be True. Say

what you mean and do what you say. If you are true, you will be

without fear. If your conscience is clear, your heart will be silent.

That is Peace. No matter what the result. " The deep teaching of these

simple statements is what I need to take my life practice to a more

honest level. Thank you, Shree Maa, for this blessing, and thank you

to all of you for sharing the journey of learning.

I am also excited to read the new book about Shree Maa, and grateful

for that opportunity! Jennifer

Namaste Jennifer, Thank you for sharing your story. Sounds like you had a very profitable day at the lake. Really enjoyed reading about it.
