Guest guest
Dear Family, Tonight we began the Rudrastadhyayi series of classes with Swamiji. Shree Maa blessed us with her presence. What a joy to be with them as they invoked Lord Shiva's presence. Swamiji gave a very _special_ introduction and said: " just recently, in the last 20 years, Lord Shiva has established the 13th jyoti lingam named Napeshvari, who is the Supreme Lord who manifested in Napa. " There are 12 jyoti lingams throughout India. The jyoti lingams are special places of pilgrimage for Lord Shiva where Shiva has bestowed his eternal light as a blessing to every devotee who comes to pray with devotion. How lucky we are to have a jyoti lingam at Devi Mandir, Napa! This new set of classes is being archived at http://www.shreemaa.org/drupal/node/1201 The classes are broadcasted live each evening at 6:30pm(PDT) at http://www.shreemaa.org/broadcasts Lord Shiva blesses us all with eternal light. Lots of Love, Kumari
Guest guest
Namaste: Tonight's class was full of divine love. Shiva, the remover of suffering, was sitting at the fire, ready and willing to take away our pain and sorrow, to wipe away our tears. Maa, the Soul of Compassion, sat in deep silence, supporting Shiva as He offered Pure Knowledge to us. Each was completely entwined with the other, each dependent on the other, Shiva and Shakti, Mother and Father, here on Earth to lift us up Bless them for their seva to all mankind. Guest guest
Namaste All, The class was full of light and illumination. A few things stood out for me in the discussion. First the importance of getting " our house " inorder. This came after a question regarding the meaning of a yantra (from Wendi?). Our paths to self realization first including taking care of our karmas/needs so that we can be free to move toward the bindu of realization. The second questions that I thought was really helpful came from Michael about how to engender devotion/bhava for God/Illumination when we have not yet experienced it. Thank you for this question. Swamiji's reponse was about using the alter and murtis to assist this. The philosophical discussion about how to understand and place the Rudrastadhyayi in the context of the Vedas, Puranas, etc. was helpful as this is something I am exploring. Thanks for the question Gori. Finally, we AGAIN heard the importance of Satsang as Srini asked how to curb our selfish actions. Thanks all. It was soooo nice to see Shree Maa there!
