Guest guest
Namaste: the other night in class Swami discussed the technique of moving energy up from the lower chakras to the crown. The technique is called Bhuta suddhi. It is discussed on page 129 of Advanced Shiva Puja Text. It is also a part of the Cosmic Puja, and is in that text too. His detailed explanation of the techniques was captured in thee Cosmic Puja class and is archived on the Mandir website. It is a very powerful and important technique as it teaches one how to move the energy up to the crown chakra. Continued practice, he stated, helps one to keep the energy flowing upwards, as opposed to staying in the lower 3 chakras. He states there are 3 levels of the chakras. Level one is the lower 3 chakras, and they represent the animalistic nature of mankind. The next 2 encompass the warrior energy, and the highest 2 are the " radiant being of light " . Swami indicated we want to train ourselves to stay in the highest energies of the highest chakras. He said, " do this technique in the morning, and stay in the highest chakra all day " . This technique can be incorporated into one's daily practice of puja or meditation, etc. It can be performed in 5 minutes, or longer, as time permits. I have been practicing it daily for several years, and I find it is very helpful. I generally perform Shiva puja, then this technique. Has anyone else tried it? What are your experiences? Guest guest
THanks Vish for the report of Swami's teachings on the Chakras and Bhuta Shuddhi! Why is it that the flow is always up from the base to the root? Why did some teachers like Aurobindo suggest a reverse 'supermental' flow from higher to lower chakras. The Taoist teachings suggest an earthly energy upward flow and a heavenly energy downward flow through the chakras. A meditator friend once mentioned to me that if you stay in the higher chakras all the time you will enevitably experience equal and opposite amount of time in the lower chakras and that the original vedic teaching is to awaken all the chakras simultaneously without a polarity of higher or lower or right left. front back. 'for every high there is a corresponding low.' Yet n Kriya yoga teachings the mind is perpetually held one pointed on the Ajna chakra.I would love it if Swami would comment and provide some clarity as to the truth of this statement. Guest guest
Peace to all, I really wish I would tune into the webcam classes...my computer is truly a fossil. It would be greatly beneficial to learn how Swami's teachings also address the healing and maintenance of each of the chakras. It is my personal experience that divine energies do not flow, up or down, unless all of the chakras are healthy and in balance at the same time. An out-of-balance chakra is like an obstruction in the river flow. It is also my experience that the energies do flow both up and down. If they only flowed downward, our bodies and souls would be embroiled primarily in earthly issues such as survival. Subsequently, if the enegies only flowed upward, one would tend to be continuously floating among the clouds in bliss, happily, but scattered nonetheless. In a lovely ebb and flow of balanced, divine energy, all is well in the physical, emotional and ethereal universe. I have found that the mineral, calcite, in it's varying colors, is a great remedy for chakra clearing and balancing. The loving, gentle energies of clear or golden calcite are very helpful in healing all chakras. If one were to completely place emphasis and intention on the upper chakras would it ever toss this shell of a body we are temporarily housing on this Earth out of balance? Does this put our human instincts for basic survival at risk? I would be grateful to also hear more of Swami's thoughts on the other's questions that have been thoughtfully raised, since my computer access is so limited. respectfully, sal. , Eric Cassils <Quanchula1 wrote: > > THanks Vish for the report of Swami's teachings on the > Chakras and Bhuta Shuddhi! > > Why is it that the flow is always up from the base to > the root?
