Guest guest
-Namaste MaaDevi: I too am glad Gauri posted about seva to her passengers on the airplane. I too have spent much time considering how to best give my clients the benefit of my connection to Maa. I have had the grace and blessing to have an over-the-phone nationwide service business for 20 years. Here is how my partner, my wife, and I have made the connection. We consider that our clients are God and that we are in business to serve them as God. We have that attitude of " service to God " as our un-official private business mission statement, and try to practice it in every interaction with our clients and our vendors, while over the phone, or on line, or thur the mail. We follow the " Golden rule " , do unto others as we would have them do unto us, and this seems to have created a profound connection between us all. Our clients love us, and we love them. We always exceed their expectations, and surprise them with our dilligence, our attention to detail, and we " bend over backwards " to help them in every way possible. This is the way Maa says a sadhu should act. Our vendors enjoy working with us, and go beyond their normal service parameters because we treat them so well. We try to create a " win-win " in every transaction. This sounds trite and common, but, when you hold the context in your heart that the client and vendor are really God, then, there is a deep, subtle, and powerful " heart connection " that we all experience. And what do we send thru that heart connection? Shree's Maa's blessings. When Maa and I first met, 10 years ago, Maa made me a Tee shirt which said: HEART CONNECTION, with a rainbow and the words connecting 2 halves of a heart. She played off our company name, INSPECTION CONNECTION. Up to that point we had always strived to give our best, but, once She stated that sublime context, we had to rise to a new standard of practice. And, thru Her grace, we did. In summary, we treat our clients and vendors as God and serve them as we wish to be served. We act as sadhus, so we make less mistakes and provide a higher quality product for our clients. And, when speaking to our clients, we impart the teachings of Maa in ways that our clients understand and relate to. We do not preach to them, just gently apply the principles of Maa and Swami's teachings to solve their problems or elevate their spirits when they are down. In order to do this, we have pictures of Shiva and other Gods surrounding us in our office, and we perform puja regularly and visit the Mandir daily. This keeps us in tune with Maa and Swami and allows them to work thru us, to spread the message of love and hope into the world. Hope this helps. I know Maa will give great advice.
