Guest guest
Namaste: The other night in class, Swami responded to the question about staying in the higher chakras and the effect on one's life. I will try to paraphrase his words. He said, " try to stay in the higher chakras as much as possible. To be a sadhu, one stays in the higher chakras. While everyone is good for something, a sadhu is good for nothing. {Swami is laughing}. If you stay in the higher chakras, someone will come to help you complete your tasks. Do not be afraid of staying in the higher chakras. " It would be great if you could hear his exact words. His tone and feeling was so positive and happy. So full of love. Guest guest
Peace to you, Vish! You mean when I'm joyfully blissed and continually one with the universe...someone will come help me clean my house and feed my kids! Whoo hoo! Now, who would be afraid of living that? Guest guest
Namaste, I liked the analogy of chakras being ripples in a pool of water, and the Sahasrara being the bindu as in the seven levels of the Shree Chakra corresponding to the seven levels of the consciousness mapped by the chakras. If focusing on the Ajna chakra gets someone to help you with everything for you wow!!! Yes ! Why fear the higher chakras! LOL! I still wonder why the same thing wouldn't happen if you concentrated on one of the lower chakras. Thirumoolar in the Thirumandirum seems to think the lower chakras are an important part of kundalini yoga along with the higher centers. I was told that if one concentrates on the ajnam chakra automatically one gets a polar response in Swadisthanam chakra and vice versa. If one concentrates on Muladhara one gets response in Sahsrara and vice versa to some degree. and so on..like the anode and cathode of an electromagnetic circuit. If that is indeed true, perhaps there is a certain effect generated from concentrating on the higher chakras upon the lower chakras....like a non-linear radio of divine consciousness communing with individual ego consciousness. So Im starting to see Swami's joyful wisdom in reccommending the higher chakras. Krishna reccomends it in the Bhagavad Gita also. Mahavatar Babaji polestar of Kriya Yoga also reccomends the practice of keeping the mind in the Kutastha, or the Ajna Chakra. Countless Yogis have recommended the practice of Shambhavi mudra or inverting the eyes into the back of the head to gaze upwards at the Ajna or Sahasrara. Still Im well aware when my mind gets flighty and forgets the importance of being grounded in the day to day events of life and LUM!!! Bija is often just the thing to get my earth element going. Pranams --- " sal. Guest guest
Hi Eric, It's interesting...my experience is that muladhara is connected to (strongly allied with) ajna, and svadhisthana is connected (strongly allied with) bindu visargya (the moon at the back of the head - at the place of the Hindu topknot), and with vishuddha. Does your experience follow what you wrote from your source? Jai Maa! Guest guest
Namaste to you Sal: Yes, when you are joyfully blissed out sending waves of joy throughout this universe, someone or something, will help you do your housework and feed your children. I watch Maa and Swami: they need something, and we help them fulfill their desire, or, somehow they get exactly what they need. Time after time. The universe responds to the needs of those working in a higher vibration and gives them material substance and support. It is a blast. Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar ' , " sal. Guest guest
Dear Vishweshwar, thank you so much for your attention to exploring these questions, I have been reading along and learning, and it has been very helpful for me, so I send you my gratitude! Usually I am not watching the video classes from the Devi Mandir because I don't have the technology at home to do so. But recently I was at a location where I could, and for the first time I watched Swamiji teaching. I was really blown away...well, my mind was blown away and my heart was blessed. What a loving and magical being he is, so joyful. Thank you Swamiji for all of these teachings. So, reading this post about the chakras, I am imagining that a lot of this intriguing answer is delivered, as you said, through his tone of voice and presentation of Self. Further, understanding is a little lost for me because I don't identify with the word 'sadhu'. Here are my questions: if you were to universalize the concept behind the word 'sadhu', would it simply be 'lover of Divine Mother', or something else? And further, I am trying to imagine how it would be to go through my daily life, attending to work, family, neighbors, community, etc., " from the higher chakras " in a fully mindful and present manner. I imagine that this would mean that I am attending to the world as it is presented to me from the most heartfelt and Divine place that I can access in any given moment, that the Divine within me is greeting and loving the Divine within all others, through my being. And that if my attention is an offering in every moment, Mother will send help, in many forms, to ensure that this is a blessing for all. Am I missing anything? Thank you , Jennifer , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste: The other night in class, Swami responded to the question > about staying in the higher chakras and the effect on one's life. > I will try to paraphrase his words. > He said, " try to stay in the higher chakras as much as possible.
