Namaste Gauri,

 

thank you so much for all the wonderful photos! Having seen this last

one, and also the photos in the new book, I noticed that Shree Maa

used to wear a white sari (with red border) and that Swamiji used to

wear white as well. Do you perhaps know why they changed to yellow/red

and orange? Or perhaps there is no particular reason, but I am

curious,

i have heard different versions so i will ask Swamiji directly and

then report back :)

I'm glad you enjoy the pictures. i know i do! They are inspiring and

heartwarming and really bring Maa and Swamiji close!

This is what Swamiji had to say:

 

The white sari with red border is a tradition of Bengal. The yellow

and red and gerua (orange) are more universally understood all

throughout the Hindu community.

Dear Gauri,

 

thank you very much for asking and many thanks to Swamiji for

answering such a trivial question! My curiosity having been satisfied,

I would like to say that of course Maa and Swamiji are beautiful no

matter what colour they choose to wear,
