NAMASTE: Thanks Eric for the great question. There are several

different, yet, interrelated techniques. The one we have been

discussing, Bhuta suddhi, teaches one to move the energy into, then

through the chakras, by chanting the mantras for each, rising from

base to crown. Then back down, then completing at the crown.

The next technique is Bhaya matrika nyasa: establishment of the

letters of the Sanskrit alphabet on the outside of the external body

of the worshiper. This technique ascribes a position in each of the

centers of activity for each of the letters, so that the worshiper can

understand and experience the totality of creation as existing within

the physical body.

The next technique is Matrika nyasa: establishment of the letters in

the chakras. This system places the Bijas or natural names inside the

chakras, which are the energy centers within the body. In this

meditation we conceive that not only is all existence moving in My

every movement, as in the former Nyasa, but also that all the

vibrations of the universe comprise the very essence of my being.

The next meditation is called Anga Puja: worship of the Divine

Mother's Body, using Tattva Mudra on both hands touch the worshiper's

body and establish Mother's mantras into different parts of the body.

The above techniques are all included in the " Advanced Shiva Puja " and

" Cosmic Puja " , texts, translated by Swami and available thru the Devi

Mandir Web site, www.shreemaa.org. There are detailed instructions

on how to perform these techniques in the texts.

Also, on the Mandir web site, you can listen to Swami teach some of

these techniques from the Cosmic Puja class he taught several months

ago: visit the Mandir web site for the link below:

class 8.

Please obtain the text, either Advanced Shiva Puja or Cosmic Puja, and

read about the techniques. And listen to the class on-line. Then e

mail any questions. If I cannot answer them I will forward to Swami.

Maa and Swami have made this data available for all devotees. They

feel these techniques are very helpful for developing a closer

relationship with God. I strongly suggest learning these techniques

on-line, as there are subtleties of the techniques, which are best

transmitted thru and by the Guru.

Jai Ma Jai Swami
