Last night after class Maa and a couple of us offered 10 malas of " Om

namah Sivayah " to the fire. At the end Maa laughed and said that She

really enjoys saying " swaha! " just like Satyavrat who repeated " ai " .

As we walked out of the temple Maa spoke about Shravan celebration in

India and Her experience...and i paraphrase...

" Devotees go on pilgrimages to the Ganges. There people take bamboo

poles and decorate them. They fill two pots (also decorated) with

Ganges water and place them on each end of the pole balancing the

whole thing on one shoulder. They then start walking to Siva (Lingam)

singing " Bole Bom Bom " . It is so beautiful. They don't care if they

have to walk one, five, ten days. They just walk and sing. From

Delhi they walk to Haridwar, from Gauhati they walk to Vashista's

ashram. I walked this path, too. People have so much devotion; it is

so beautiful to see. "
