Give up all selfish desires

Namaste: Recent events in my life brought my awareness to several

subtle attachments which are causing me distress. While aware for

them all my life, family dramas have surfaced as my Mother ages, and

my only brother spins off into depression.

 

Family and money, 2 huge attachments.

 

So, as I sat to perform puja, I asked over and over to have these 2

attachments removed. I asked to be simple, kind, compassionate and

helpful to my family, but not attached to them and their dramas.

And I asked that Shiva increase my reliance on Him, and not money, for

my satisfaction and contentment.

 

Lo and behold, soft waves of comfort and joy came up from my heart.

The Lord indicated He was aware of the problems, and I should trust

that He would always take care of me. He always had and always would.

 

So I sit now typing this, sharing my love with you all, and praying

that we all can join our hearts in constant prayer to rely on the

Lord, and not on this world, for our life.
