Guest guest
Namaste: Over and over since class the other day, the thougth comes to chant mantra whenever there is a blank space in my mind: between thoughs, walking in a store, waiting on hold on the phone, doing dishes, unloading the car, etc. In short: anytime I remember i am not thinking the mantra, go back to it. Now, if I am busy solving a problem at work, or operating a chain saw at the Mandir, I do not think the mantra. But, I am trying to think it any other time. Why: what else to think about? Lesson: thinking most other thoughts will not get me to God. Just gobblegoop. Thinking mantra will take away the mind and create a backdrop of Divine thoughts-God;s name, on which the rest of my life can unfold. Sure I still have to work in the world, and give my clients 100%, and I do. The rest of the time, think mantra. Feels good. Who else has tried this? What is your experience? Guest guest
Namaste My experience is that it easily creates a tangible response in the ajna chakra between the eyebrows and sometimes also in the heart chakra, in the latter case it is a warm and flowing feeling, but this occurs rarely, in the former case it is a kind of pressure. Why thinking the same " mindless " thoughts again and again ? Japa definitely purifies the mind . -- In , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste: Over and over since class the other day, the thougth comes > to chant mantra whenever there is a blank space in my mind: between > thoughs, walking in a store, waiting on hold on the phone, doing > dishes, unloading the car, etc. > In short: anytime I remember i am not thinking the mantra, go back to it. > Now, if I am busy solving a problem at work, or operating a chain saw > at the Mandir, I do not think the mantra. > But, I am trying to think it any other time. > Why: what else to think about? > Lesson: thinking most other thoughts will not get me to God. Guest guest
Performing Japa during regular activities is really helpful. I adore at times the Peace Sankalpa mantra while driving on the expressways or freeways. It's so neat to use it as a blessing for all that pass and/or the ones that are passed while in cars. I try to do the mantra while walking the dogs/children. Cleaning antying becomes Klim! And, this is so much fun as clean and Klim are close. Do you think that Divine Mother had a sense of humor with clean and Klim? Doing a mantra before picking up the phone is good and maybe when hanging it up is good also. Cooking - that's so good to mantra then to get the energy of the blessing into the food. Thanks for th inspiration to keep moving forward like the river to the ocean. , " navendu135 " <abc128545697 wrote: > > Namaste > > My experience is that it easily creates a tangible > response in the ajna chakra between the eyebrows and > sometimes also in the heart chakra, in the latter case > it is a warm and flowing feeling, but this occurs rarely, > in the former case it is a kind of pressure. > Why thinking the same " mindless " thoughts again and > again ? Guest guest
Namaste: thanks for posting your experiences. Feeling the power and glory of the mantras inside makes one more determined to increase one's practice. As the " real " world looses it luster, the inner world, becomes brighter and brighter. the profound effects of the mantras will continue to purify us, and the settled " peace that passes all understanding " , begins to grow. As Swami says, " we will become reservoirs of peace " . What a wonderful goal.
