Guest guest
Seeing God/Goddess in everything and everyone. My Grand daughter Sascha had to be taken the hospital over the week end & today she had to go see the doctor for a follow up visit to see if they can figure out what is causing her great pain. Her sisters and brother were to be brought over here for me to watch. BUT As MOTHER would have it that didn't work out so I had to go get them early and put off puja till they were safe with me. Once home I began to reorganize my puja and seva for the day as I did they began to each one by one fall asleep. (They were up all night worring about Sascha because here pain was still there) Was able to do the whole Kali puja instead of the short version that I had figured on doing so they cld join. Also enjoyed Tarpana. In my time after puja I began to ask Maa how can I best serve my family in this stressful time while we are trying to get a diagnosis on Sascha's pain & wondering how to pay the bills. And there are pujas, and mantras, japa and tarpana and much more to add to things that I wanted to do (is this selfish ego to want to be able to continue my practice?) How will it all be accomplished. I love my daughter and grand children so there must be away. If it's happening I can handle it. Mother is with me always. While my mind jabbers on: She says, "See the God/Goddess in each of them and serve them each as they are truely. Your service to them is seva, say mantras as you do things, and do pujas first before anyone is up. So I stepped back in my mind and pictured them as the gods and goddess' they are. Suddenly I could see that they were here to work through their karma. That step back and view allowed me to see more clearly instead of judging them for what I felt like they should be doing in and with their lives. I began to see that they choose what they do inorder to experience something that will help them gain more knowledge and to move along their path. All I can do is to try to help them to experience the things in the least painful way and to move through their karma in a much gentler way rather than causing them more stress. Seeing things much differantly now! They are just as I am working through issues & they have a hidden agenda that the Goddess is working on with them. Then I began to see the little God and Godess' joyful getting into things just for the sake of discovery, or letting their minds wonder from their studies to see the beauty around them. It was like they were all aglow and at that time you cld see their divinity. What a joy. How enlightening! We can say we know God is in everything but it takes more than words to understand and truely realize it. It takes experiences like this, that are dificult to discribe with words, to reach the deepest part of us so we get a deeper understanding of that that we claim to know. Everything I stated here I already new or claimed to. But now I have an experience to back it up and will probly have many more before I truely KNOW that that I say I know. First comes the information (words) then comes the experience THEN the understanding. Knowledge is only one step on the path. Without experiences we are not able to apply this knowledge so as to reach an understanding. Knowledge without understanding is useless. Think about it: Picture a brain surgion with a head full of knowledge digging into your brain with out any prior experience of actualy doing the surgery, no internship in which to reach an understanding and get hands on experience with doing his job. He's got to learn to understand what symptoms are alerting him to what illness in order to even diagnose what he needs to be digging for. Then there are pictures, scans, (prayers, mantras, pujas for us) to do in order to get a full understanding of the situation before digging in. Thank you Maa for being with each of us and helping us through our day. We love you!!!!!!!!... Would love to here your experiences with seeing the divinity in others and or experiencing Maas wonderful help in your life. Pranam Shape in your own image. Join our Network Research Panel today! Guest guest
Namaste: Thanks for sharing this. I will pray for you and your family and forward your family's discomfort to Swami. Maa is truly watching and blessing you and your family. She never leaves you and Her response to your prayer is TRUTH AND PURE LOVE MANIFEST. She even granted you clarity of vision to " see " the reality of your grandchildren and family. What a blessing, what an response. You ask about Maa helping us. I remember the first time my wife and I talked to Maa privately. Maa told Bharati that her task, her focus, was to raise and take care of my son and me. As I review the last 10 years with Maa, I understand that Maa gave Bharati a blessing: to truly know her dharma, her highest ideal of perfection-taking care of her family. Bharati has performed that sadhana with one pointed devotion. And as a result, she has blossomed and been transformed by Maa. I used to under-estimate the task Maa gave to Bharati. I was certain one had to perform intense austerities in order to come closer to God. But, Maa gave me this lesson as she blessed Bharati: work is worship, and taking care of your family is spiritual discipline indeed. Maa is with us daily. When we fall prey to the ego, and when we are flying high with bliss. She does not waver in Her devoted seva to us, Her family. She is the Supreme Mother, and Her sadhana encompases every aspect of Her life. She is the Highest example of Motherhood one could have. We are blessed to know Her.
