Beginning date of Navaratri-Wendy and all

Namaste: Nanda has given us a clear understanding of the method Maa

and Swami use to decide when to start Navaratri. I wanted to add a

few comments based on my expereince of performing worship in harmony

with their schedule.

When we lived in Iowa, we could not come to the Mandir too often. So,

thru Maa's Grace, we built a Temple onto the rear of our home. It had

a fire pit and beautiful altar. Maa and Swami came to the opening

ceremony, and performed the first homa.

But, even prior to this celestial event, we made every effort to

perform worship at the same time as Maa and Swami. We would phone the

Mandir, those were pre-e mail days, and determine the exact time and

date of every puja, homa, etc. then, we made every effort to begin

when they did.

Thus, the intimate connection with Maa and Swami grew day by day. We

felt their presence and power, aiding and guiding our thoughts and

movements, and marveled that they could reach thousands of miles and

touch our hearts and minds so powerfully.

After sometime, when we visited the Mandir, they nurtured the desire

to have our own Temple, and low and behold, we built it.

Their influence grew in our lives in direct proportion to the amount

of sadhana we performed. And the more we performed, the more

accessible they were to us. After 5 years, Maa gave us permission to

move to Napa to be with them.

Today, Maa and Swami are so much more accessible thru the internet, so

we do not have to move to Napa have an incredibly powerful

relationship with them. We only have to tune in.
