Guest guest
Namaste Everyone:I decided to try Swami's idea of slowly altering the diet from no grains, mostly fruit and slowly go into a fast. So far so good. Sometimes I think it's good to shake the diet up a bit anyway. In the process I detoxed from drinking too much caffeine all the time. My blood pressure actually dropped.Because I'm a householder with lots of duties to attend to, I did not really think I could keep the sankalpa that Shree Maa wants us to keep, but I thought I would give it a try. So far I've actually been able to keep up with that too.Anyone else fasting?Shanti Om,Shankari Kali Shape in your own image. Join our Network Research Panel today! Guest guest
Namaste Shankari Kali, I am fasting... sort of. I am eating fruit in the morning and steamed vegetables at night. In between, I have some almonds, if needed. I am also drinking water and tea... again, as needed. I'm keeping the meals small. As a householder, a complete fast would be difficult for me at this particular time. When I first heard 3000 mantras a day, I wasn't sure if I could do it, although I didn't hesitate to sign on! So far, complete success. I picture Shree Maa sitting next to me and the energy to finish just comes in. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Namaste Wendy--I'm pretty much eating fruits, salad, and some tofu as needed. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has trouble with total fasting. I'm not sure I would make it through the day. I have noticed that once I got off caffeine and rice/bread that it is actually easier to go on with less. You have given me courage to continue. I too sometimes see Shree Maa in the quietness of my soul while chanting.Jai Maa!Shankari Kaliway131 <wendy131 wrote: Namaste Shankari Kali, I am fasting... sort of.
