Namaste Shankari Kali and everyone,

…This is why I love this sangha. I totally love our conversations

about our spiritual lives and practices, and I also love our plain

old `regular' conversations. It is here that we are able to support

one another, give each other courage to continue, share our ups and

downs, doubts and assuredness.

Yesterday, I found a post with a quote from Swamiji. Needless to say,

the timing is perfect. He says,

" The most important sadhana is to keep remembering even while

you fulfill responsibilities, even while you do worldly works.

Remember our goal is not to perform spiritual practices, but to live

a spiritual life. Then perform the practices which help you remember. "

Sometimes my life is so hectic. I seem to have endless opportunities

to forget. This is why I have pictures of Shree Maa and Swamiji all

around my house and in my car, why I wear my mala under my shirt, and

why I tune in to all the aspects that the Internet affords me.

Swamiji often tells us about the importance of sangha. Because of the

Devi Mandir's highest use of the Internet, I know my family extends

to the far reaches of the world. Through the listserv, the webcam,

the class chat room, I can feel my brothers and sisters right through

the computer, and I know that we are one family.

We are so very, very blessed to have Shree Maa and Swamiji to inspire

us, to guide us, to bless us. In the presence of their love, it is

easy to remember.

Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji!

I'm not sure I would make it through the day.

Namaste Shankari Kali,

steamed vegetables at night. In between, I have some almonds, if

needed. I am also drinking water and tea... again, as needed. I'm

keeping the meals small. As a householder, a complete fast would be

difficult for me at this particular time.

the process I detoxed from drinking too much caffeine all the time.

My blood pressure actually dropped.

did not really think I could keep the sankalpa that Shree Maa wants

us to keep, but I thought I would give it a try. So far I've actually

been able to keep up with that too.
