Guest guest
NAMASTE: Sunday while doing the group Chandi at the Temple, I was focusing on the mantras, my breathing, the group consciousness and Maa and Swami. Maa and Swami were filling us all with shakti, and everyone was engaged. Life cannot get any better than this, I thought. Then, my world started to crumble. My ego began performing heroic gyrations to force my focus from God onto me / him. I could not believe the memories, impulses, feelings, pictures, movies, sensations, etc, that played across the screen of my mind and body. Each was a separate story onto itself, fully formed, full of promise of adventures of Me Me Me. Wow I thought, you will go to any lengths to keep control. How much you value your sovereignty. But, with respect, Your Highness, I have to get back to God's words. For you see, I have a choice, and I choose God, not you. Why you ask? Because you cannot take me to Heaven. And that's where I want to go. So, I bid you farewell. Yes, I know you will keep trying, I know you are proud and love to win, but, I have a date with Maa Chandi, and She says if I focus on Her, She will grant me any boon. And guess what, you don't offer such a beautiful future for me. The rest of the Chandi flew by, and after it was complete, Maa danced the dance of a new creation. While at dinner Sunday eve, I shared my ego experience with others and they are agreed that the ego was really working hard with them too. One devotee said: " I am so glad we spoke about this, I thought I was the only one with this problem! " I cannot believe we have a technique of such power and might. The Chandi is so amazing. Every facet of it is perfect, and the sum total of it is so much greater than its parts: Self Realization. Thank Maa and Swami for giving us this gift, and then, for leading and supporting us thru the valley of the shadow of death, into the Eternal Light of God's Presence. Happy Navaratri, Jai Chandi, Jai Durga, Jai Maa Jai Swami, for the Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, and the Guru is the Great Maheshwar-Shiva.
