Hello everyone, I am feeling very grateful for all of the posts

during Navaratri. It was a new experience for me and I learned so

much from all of you. Thank you.

I found that over the past nine days as I prayed and worshipped and

went about my day that Mother was teaching me how Her presence can be

experienced at any moment, anywhere. I remembered an experience that

I had last year. I was taking a sacred dance class from a Swami who

was teaching the Divine Mother Prayer in dance form (this is the

prayer that starts, " Oh Divine Mother, may all my speech and idle

talk be mantra, all actions of my hands be mudra " etc) After several

weeks of teaching, once we had learned the entire prayer dance our

teacher suggested that we find one item in the room that spoke to us,

and perform a line of the prayer dance to that object as a form of

Divine Mother.

I chose to dance the line 'may everything I do be taken as thy

worship' in honor of the offering bowl placed at the front of the

room. As I did so, the words 'this is the form of Divine Mother who

receives offerings from Her children' popped into my head.

Since that time, I play this game. Cleaning house, driving, in the

grocery store.

Walking up the stairs: this is the form of Divine Mother that enjoys

elevating her children.

Watching a teenage goth rocker in chains: this is the form of Divine

Mother that delights in expressing ferocity.

Washing a plate: this is the form of Divine Mother that loves to hold

food for her children.

Etc. I am thankful to my teacher for this very joyful, simple

practice. It has come up a lot over the last nine days.

I also started each morning listening to Shree Maa singing the

beginner Durga puja, and asking for Her blessing of love and

purification to be shared with all in my home. Thank you, Shree Maa

for hearing my prayers.

May Her Peace be with you in every moment! Jennifer
