Guest guest
Namaste Shankari kali: Thansk for sharing your experience. I am a householder too, and gave up sleep during the 9 days, but not food, in order to complete 3000 daily. I also chant very fast. That is the method I use, it generates much shakti. Slow repetation is a method to generate bhakti. Swami uses each method for different texts and mantras. I gave up TV and all books, internet and music except for mantras and holy books and spiritual singing. It was great to be away from the TV. I continue to chant and it is helping me to focus on Her. I kept going with 3000 a day for awhile, but it was taking me 2 and a half hours a night to complete. Some of us householders cannot keep up. At least I could not. I reduced the number of malas, but I continued reciting her name. > > I began to feel closer to Ma Durga and still continue to feel her presence daily in my life. Slow repetation is a method to generate bhakti. Swami uses each method for different texts and mantras. I regard it as important to be acquainted with such details, but what are the consequences ? For example, should Prayer Club participants chant the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra rather fast and not in the mode of the audio file (http://www.shreemaa.org/drupal/taxonomy_menu/21)? ---In , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste Shankari kali: Thansk for sharing your experience.
