Guest guest
Namaste Siva: Welcome, Shree Maa asked us to chant Durga's mantra 3000 times daily for the 9 days of Navaratri. Now that time is past. Howver, one can take a sankalpa anytime, for any length of time, for any mantra. I perform Durga puja daily, yet I still repeat the Durga mantra 3000 times daily because I feel the need to be closer to Her. I have extended the sankalpa. That is my personal choice. So, choose a mantra you feel drawn to, maybe the mantra you were initiated with, and choose a number of times daily to repeat it that you can accomplish, and make the commitment to do it for a certain number of days. For example, Durga removes confusion, so committ to Her mantra, 5 malas a day for 7 days. Do it the same time every day, sitting quietly in front of your altar if possile. Or, repeat it on the train or walking, etc. Do it without fail, and when you complete it, see how you feel. Any questions? At least I could not. I reduced the number of malas, but I continued reciting her name. > > I began to feel closer to Ma Durga and still continue to feel her presence daily in my life.
