Guest guest
Namaste: Maa and Swami have taught us that " all work is worship " . A lofty goal. One worth pursuing. But, sometimes so difficult. Recently, while performing a task I did not like, I realized that the " task " was not the problem, but " I " was. The task was neutral, I was negative. I did not like the task, felt demeaned by it. I was bored, and not engaged in the action. I thought, this is not right. I want to perform seva. Selfless service. I want to help this world. I want my actions to be efficient, focused, and full of love and devotion. Seva is a state of mind and heart. If you don't like the task, don't stop the task, don't avoid it, instead, change your thoughts about it, move through the " dislike " , and become aware of the " privilege " of performing the task to benefit this universe. What a sadhana this is! What a test of one's devotion and commitment to the Highest Ideal of Perfection. Sometimes it is more difficult that sitting in a long asan chanting a scripture. Please share your stories about overcoming " selfish action " and moving into " selfless action " . Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar.
