Guest guest
In the Eastern tradition (mainly Bengali) I have witnessed the ritual of Satyanarayana puja always being concluded with a Homa. However, when we have had the puja performed in our home periodically by a South Indian priest from the local temple he concludes the puja with an Arati after the recitation of the Satyanarayan Vrata Katha. Also, he performs the Navagraha Puja as part of the complete ritual. I have recently bought the Vishnu Puja book from the Devi Mandir book store and wish to perform the puja myself. However, I do not see any references to Navagraha Puja or a Homa. My question is, what would be an appropriate book to perform the Homa and the Navagraha puja if I want to expand my Satyanarayana Puja practice? In the meantime I intend to begin my Satyanarayana Puja practice with the Vishnu Puja book as laid out by Swamiji. Many Thanks in advance and anticipation of your interest and help.
