Guest guest
I guess that would depend on the sadhu. All paths are equally powerful. JAI MAA! Guest guest
Peace to you, Vish! I'm going to wing it here...this may humbly show how really little I know...but this is the first resounding answer that came to me... I would guess chanting is the most powerful sadhana, when it is done - of course, because it is the one you cannot see, touch or feel...it's vibrational energy is obtained through thought and sound, and would have the most far-reaching effect. While fire ceremony and puja are both physical and tangible, chanting is not, especially in silence. Also, does not chanting enhance puja and fire ceremony? much love to you all! sal. , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste and Happy thanksgiving > > Swami has asked we consider a new question. > > " Which sadhana is more powerful? Guest guest
Namaste Swamiji, thank you for asking the question. In my understanding, Love is the key. The more we love the sadhana, the more it will grow and do its transformative work. The root and the goal of any sadhana is, as I understand, the Love of God and our growing love of our sadhana is a response to that Power 'most beautiful of all'. So whatever sadhana enkindles Love and makes it grow, is the most powerful, with love and deepest respect, Henny , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste and Happy thanksgiving > > Swami has asked we consider a new question. > > " Which sadhana is more powerful? Guest guest
That which is more powerful is determined for each according to his or her character. Guest guest
Chanting whether in vaikari, madyama, pashyanthi, para or apara is the engine for true devotion that comprises the soul of the puja and fire ceremony both. However, the puja and fire ceremony make use of mudras, ritualized actions and inner and outer offerings that amplify the effects of chanting. All practices are as powerful as the bhava which suffuses them. None of these practices are as powerful as sitting in Maa's lap, loving Maa and being Maa's child. > ---- inspectionconnection108 > <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste and Happy thanksgiving > > > > Swami has asked we consider a new question. > > > > " Which sadhana is more powerful? Guest guest
Thanks for posting this second question... I've been pondering it for a bit. What comes to me in meditating on this question is that each is the most powerful depending on who is the practitioner and when they are practicing; that is, different methods of worship may be the most effective or powerful for different people at different times in their lives. Also, when all of these come together, the sum of them is greater than their parts. When they become internal and their siddhis are attained, their power is immeasurable. Ultimately, I'm not sure it matters which is " most powerful. " Does it? Ultimately, whatever destroys our differentiation from the Eternal Oneness of the Divine Mother will fall away in the end, and individual practices become irrelevant. So whatever the qualified teacher prescribes for the temperament of a particular, dedicated student, which carries them to that oneness - that is the most powerful. shanti saa'ham, sundari > ---- inspectionconnection108 > <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste and Happy thanksgiving > > > > Swami has asked we consider a new question. > > > > " Which sadhana is more powerful?
