Guest guest
Namaste: tonight in class, Ramakrishna was quoted talking about " great renunciation " . I asked Swami how normal householders, with all their responsibilities, can achieve this " great renunciation " . His reply: " continuously remember what a privilege it is to serve your family, friends, business associates, this world. To be an example to them, to teach them, and to help them in so many ways to live a better life. Make continuous recitation of the mantra: {it is a} " privilege to serve " , to help you remember. " Good advice, I have to implement it into my life. So many times I feel that ordinary life is a waste of time, and solving small problems and helping people, well, it just takes me away from sadhana, chanting, etc. I have to remember that all life is my spiritual practice, and helping others is part of my path, not a hindrance to my growth. Thanks again Swami for your help. Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar
