Namaste Ranveer: thanks for posting. Check out the Spiritual calendar

on the Devi Mandir website for auspicious days to chant or pray to

Kali or Durga.

Beside special days, anyone can chant Their Divine Names anytime. I

perform Shiva and Durga Puja daily for the past 6 years, and Kali puja

when the calender suggests it is most auspicious.

There are no restrictions. Maa and Swami teach that this is our

personal relationship with Durga, Kali, Shiva, etc. How and when we

worship is up to us. If we want to cultivate a relationship with

them, we chant their name all the time. Maa and Swami have translated

texts, available on Devi Mandir website, which we can use to

communicate with the Deities. Durga puja, Kali puja, Shiva puja texts,

CD's with Maa chanting 1000 names of Kali, Maa chanting Durga puja

etc., are all available. Just make your choice.

Let's take a minute and think about our daily life. If we met someone

new, and we felt a connection to them, we would phone them often, or

visit them, or write letters, or e mails. We would want to get nearer

to them in order to build a relationship. We want to know all about

them. What pleases them, etc.

In the same way, building a relationship with God, in whatever form,

we use the tools that devotees have used for thousands of years. And

we yearn for Their Darshan, we yearn to feel Their presence in our lives.

And that yearning, that desire, is what propels us to worship, to give

our time and energy to learning about, and worshiping to, Kali or

Durga, etc.

So, if you feel attracted to Kali or durga, I suggest you close your

eyes, and ask them, from your heart, how they would like to be

worshiped. Listen, and They will speak to you.

Also,if you feel attracted to Chandi, listen in every Sunday at 9:30

am Pacific time, as Maa and Swami chant the Chandi Path at the homa.

You will learn the way we pronounce the Chandi mantra, others may

chant it differently, but you will hear us chant. Also, it is

available on CD from the Devi Mandir web site.

I hope this answers your questions.

Jai Maa Jai Swami
