Interesting. I have experimented with binaural beats

for quite some time, but discovered some evidence that

they might actually have some unpleasant side effects.

Any repeated stimulus such as a psychoacoustic trick

like playing two different frequencies in each ear

will decline in effectiveness over time as the body

becomes used to it, and eventually resists the

stimulus to pursue its own wanderings. The body and

mind are incredibly adaptable. That said I had

listened to one highly complex layered binaural CD

called Insight, which has a very relaxing quality.

These things can be good training tools, its just that

they must be used wisely because like a soporific

drug, if one depends too much on them they tend loose

their effectiveness.
