Merry Christmas to All

Dear Friends: I took a few moments this morning for some meditative

reading on the meaning of Christ's birth. I believe that Christ's

teachings are born anew in each of our hearts, and so will mean

something unique for each of us. For me, it is about compassion and

justice, heaven on earth. Here is a little sharing from my reading,

in hopes that these words touch your hearts as they did mine. In

gratitude for all that this community does to keep the light burning

brighter in my heart and in our beautiful world, Merry Christmas!

Mary, you birthed to earth your son, you birthed the son of God from

heaven by breathing the spirit of God. Mechtild of Magdeburg

 

What good is it to me if Mary gave birth to the son of God fourteen

hundred years ago, and I do not also give birth to the son of God in
