Namaste,

Thank you in advance for all your attention.

As some of you know I am a student (hence the id student_ltu): it

will take me about a month to purchase my books needed to follow

along with the group(Beginner Shiva puja etc)

Until, I can purchase these supplies I need to do some mantras for a

particular situation going on in my life.

I need anyone qualified or has knowledge to answer a few questions:

I viewed some of Maa's video's (I hope saying just Maa is not

disrespectful -please correct me if it is ): they were beautiful by

the way.

Anyway, I noticed Maa doing mantras on the Shiva video (Om Namah

Shivayah) using her thumb and index fingers to move the mala.

I've heard that the index fingers are not to touch the mala.

Since, as you all know there are always different views on how to do

things: I thought I would post to get Maa and everyone else view on

this.

My questions:

Was this done because it was used for Shiva?

For example is this always the method thought in this group

, or only used when worshiping Shiva?

Also, could Rudraska beads be used for Narasimha mantras, and

Ganesha/Laksmi mantras?

Also, is it forbidden to eat meat when using Rudraska?

I ask these questions because there are so many ways to do things:

one has to just find someone to follow( and do as they do).

I know these are a lot of questions, but I would apprechiate all your

loving advice.

ps. In case anyone wants to know what mantras i plan to do here they

are:

Narasimha mantra Om Ksraum Narasimha Namaha (to fight against

negative

energy rather within or without)

Ganesha/Laksmi mantra

Om Gam Shreem Maha Lakshmiyei Namaha

(to remove all blocks from abundance)

Om Namah Shivayah,

Lillian
