Guest guest
Namaste Hamraz, In the introduction to the Lalita Trisati (found in the Guru and the Goddess book) Swamiji translates a sloka that says (and i paraphrase): Chanting the 1000 names brings 10 million times the fruit than other mantras. BUT chanting the 300 namrs brings 10 million times 10 million (100 million!) the fruit of other mantras. Therefore, chant the 300 names! As for the yagna, at the Mandir we say " swaha " after each sloka of names and offer masala to the fire. (Once the fire is established, He, Agni, will take offerings for all the Gods and Goddesses!) hope this helps. Guest guest
Chanting both is even better. What is truly important is that we chant HER Names and Praiser HER! All HER Names are Beyond Measure. Chanting One Name With True Love, Devotion and Concentration would take us to the Goal. May we strive to chant in such a way! Guest guest
jai ma kaali Swamiji talks about chanting the 300 names of lalita than 1000, which is much greater and fruitful. Does this mean the thousand names are not as powerfull as the 3 hundred names? or has swami ji made it easier for those who dont have time to chant 1000 names?
