Is marriage an impediment in one's spiritual growth?

Om Namah Shivaya!

Marriage is not an impediment to anyone's

spiritual goal. For a normal person, marriage is the

first step in sharing love. One of the challenges of

the marriage is to be able to accept the choices of

your life partner. In that process, you are finding

more acceptance of yourself also as you find a mirror

in your partner. Both the persons can help each other

to find more about the connection to the higher power

all of us have and the connections each other's have.

Of course there are rare persons who understand that

they belong to everyone in the World or everyone

belongs to them. This is the goal everyone has to

attain.

I said only what I know from a common man's

perspective.

Namaste dear Jyoti and Everybody,

Guess what i just saw a quote from Neem Karoli Baba where He says,

" It does not matter whether you are married or not, it only matters

how much you love God. "

Isn't that beautiful? Makes one feel so free and joyous! :)

BUT - sometimes we need advice on specific steps or we have strange

circumstances in our relationships/marriage - and Swamiji answers

soooo many questions about these in the relationship blog! If you have

still more questions we can email them to Swamiji and ask for advice.

Nanda has given the links to Relationship Blog already!

My little understanding is that Shree Maa and Swamiji advice us to

make personal goals -- what we want to do and how we would like to

contribute to this universe! We discuss them with our

spouse/partner/friend and see what their goals are -- Together we

figure out how we can work and grow with each other - harmoniously and

happily!!! :)

How can we love each other and love God? Even if they don't believe in

God, they believe in love, right? That's why we got married :) And God

is love -- all love and only love!

Jai Maa!

ramya :)
