Dear All,Thank you to Amrish for asking the question on whether it is ok to chant the English mantra after the Sanskrit, and for Swamiji's response that it is "highly recommended". (Please see http://www.shreemaa .org/drupal/ 6_chanting_ in_english_ or_sanskrit )Today when I chanted the "Sharanagata dinartha " mantra , I was once again blown away by the meaning. In my case it is easy to just keep chanting mechanically, but when I stop every now and then and read/chant the English translation it reaffirms and reinforces the beauty of the mantra all the more."Those who are devoted to you and take refuge in you, even though lowly and humble, you save them from all discomfort and unhappiness. All worry you take away , Oh Goddess, Exposer of Consciouness, WE BOW TO YOU !"Jai Jai MaaNanda
