Guest guest
Hey Chris,It is good to see your post and welcome back!BTW, I have not finished last year's sankalpa either.I have started this year with a fresh beginning and this year's sankalpa "Sharanagata Dinarta". I love the meaning of the words to this mantra and find myself reciting the English every once in a while. So what do we do when we go off track ? Once I asked Swamiji this question (and I pretty sure it is captured in the video archives for posterity), and He said (and I paraphrase) "We pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and take another sankalpa that gives us the inspiration to move forward". And He said that the entire process was not in the falling but in picking ourselves up each time that we fall.I take refuge in His words."To those that are devoted to you and take refuge in you ...... you save from discomfort and unhappiness....."Jai MAANanda

Guest guest
Dear Nanda, Chris and all dears ones I have not finished last year´s sankalpa too but Swamiji explain in the book Study of chapter 2 Chandi Path: the asuras ,the thoughts Want of Resolution, Devoid of Clear Understanding, etc are affliging many of us. They saying " get up! you don´t have to sit there! It is not comfortable. You have more important things to do...they rains a shower of doubts upon us BUT we must remember: the Rule of the Pure and the other Gods together emitted the lights from theirs bodies, and all the lights united to form one light of radiant splendor: THE CHANDI. So go on dears ones (gods and goddesses). We have a kavach and two great Gurus. We can fight and we can do our 2 sankalpas. The Divine Mother becomes manifest from the UNITED LIGHTS of all. Jai dear family!!! Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji!!! I bow to all you Kalachandra- Brazil In , " Nanda " <chandimaakijai wrote: > > Hey Chris, > It is good to see your post and welcome back! > > BTW, I have not finished last year's sankalpa either. > > I have started this year with a fresh beginning and this year's sankalpa > " Sharanagata Dinarta " . Guest guest
Hey Nanda! Yeah, I think I've seen him say this more than once. I can attest to its truth (at least in the short-term). I've probably had to follow it more often than most . I, like most everyone I guess, like the " Sharanagata " mantra a lot, too. I look forward to diving deeply into it (if I can). I don't want to commit myself to it until I feel ready (I want to make sure I complete it this time). I don't expect everything in my life to fall into place first, but I do want to achieve a certain balance in my activities so I can keep a regular schedule of sadhana. (Good to see you, too.)
