Guest guest
Vish asked:"While I have great faith that the kavach works, how can one know objectively that one is putting on Chandi's armor? I can understand that a pure soul can have total protection, but if adevotee of limited awakening puts on Her armor, does that devotee only gain partial protection? And, if that is so, what can one do to increase the power of Her protection?"Dear Vish,Great questions and here is my 2 cents. Objectively, I know that I am putting on Chandi's armor because when I chant the mantra I visualize Her in that part of the body that the verse refers to. By the end of the recitation She is everywhere protecting every part of my body. The more I chant the Kavach, the more I reinforce Her presence on my body... so much so that I realize ... it is not just my body at all, but a place where She resides in her manifold forms. I begin to respect my body as a container for Her .Also, I am very clear that it is not a question of whether Her protection will increase, but rather a question of my own receptivity. So I recite the Kavach, ---- with gratitude to Shree Maa for introducing me to this sadhana ---- reinforcing Chandi Maa's presence on my body---- and realizing that this body is not just a "body" but a container for Her consciousness.I believe that when we recognize that our bodies are but containers where She lives, our attitudes change towards the way we look at ourselves -- which in my opinion, is the REAL blessing. Thanks for the question and for making me think.Jai MaaNanda
