I have a question regarding Gaytri mantra chanting .We all know the Gayatri mahamantra is greatest mantra for manking and enough research has been done and articles and volumes eulogising it. At same time, there are gayatri mantras for each god/goddess also .e.g. Ganesh, Hanuman, Durga, lakshmi, Shiva, Vishnu etc etc. Does chanting the gayatri mantra of the God produce same effect as the Gayatri mahamantra? If someone is say a shiva devotee and wants to only chant Shiva gayatri , will he get same effect and benefits as chanting Original gayatri mahamantra? Please advise.
