Guest guest
Dear friends, Every day is a day to celebrate Guru but today is a special day for doing so, it is also one week away from the start of Navaratri, a time of reflection. Our Guru is the one whom we want to emanate, the one who will take us to the ultimate goal. Some things about my Guru which I pray by Her Grace to emanate – Truthfulness Childlike innocence Purity Devotion Selflessness Peacefulness All-encompassing love Compassion This simple journey is made so difficult by the mind which has been playing tricks for a bit now butting forcibly especially during workshop or at times of great silence when the soul is at peace, constantly bringing things to mind which makes this child feel enmity towards someone perceived to have done "me" wrong. This is a heavy load. Please help to settle this monkey mind by sharing your thoughts. Also, what do you admire most or want to emanate in your Guru? Bhava sagara tarana karana he Ravi nandana bandhana khandana he Saranagata kinkara bhitamane Guru deva daya kara dinajane Om sanatani mayavidmahe Jñana praka´sayai dhimahe Tanno ´sri mam pracodayat
Guest guest
Hello friend! Thank you for the inspiration to reflect on the beautiful qualities in our Guru(s). It made my heart rejoice to read your list, and to it I would add gentleness, quietness and stillness, faithfulness, steadfastness, kindness, wisdom, beauty and gracefulness. Regarding the troubling mind...I too struggle with those kinds of experiences. Last year I had a time where my mind kept presenting thoughts that were not helpful to me. I tried giving it to Divine Mother in prayer and meditation but it wasn't working. So to bring my attention more fully to my desire to surrender this particular thought track to Mother, at the beginning of each day I put a handful of small beads in one pocket. Through the day when I would have an unwanted thought I would transfer a bead to the other pocket. At the end of the day I put all of the 'thoughtbeads' into a little bowl and put them at Mother's 'feet' (Her picture on my altar) and prayed that She would purify and transform them, and instead use the energy for Her work in this world. After some time the thought stream subsided. She offers so many ways for us to seek freedom from that sneaky trickster mind! May you soon find the one that works for you, and may Her Perfect Peace wash away all of your troubles, and leave you resting in love and purity. I have had this thought issue too, and I like the way you came up with this way of working. This is a beautiful practice I intend to implement. Guest guest
Dear Jennifer, Thanks so much for responding and adding to the list of qualities in our Guru(s). Thanks also sharing your way of dealing with the situation, i love it and will apply it in my life. Maa and Swamiji teaches that everyone is a Guru, we can all learn from each other. Thoughts will keep finding ways to enter our minds but if we surrender and give them all to Mother, She will surely take us through and over. Jai Maa! May you be blessed with peace. Guest guest
It wasn't you??? Well I thought it was you. In any case, someone wrote a post a long time ago, that they drew a trishul on a lime, and then offered it to Maa along with Aaratrikam. LOL....Well maybe I imagined it Eric --- jrholm1007 <jrholm1007 wrote: > Hello Brindavanshakti and Eric, the lime practice > did not come > through me! : ) Will the real and true lime and > trishul and camphor > practitioner please refresh all of our memories?? > Thanks, Jennifer > > , brindavanshakti > brindavanshakti > <brindavanshakti wrote: > > > > Hi, I would love to hear about the lime and the > trishul and > camphor.
