Guest guest
Namaste Everyone! In trying to contemplate the meaning of the Argala Stotram, what comes to mind is the saying of Sri Ramakrishna that the winds of Grace are always blowing – but we must unfurl our sails to catch it. Perhaps the Bolt is our neglect to unfurl the sail – forgetting the Divine Mother and Her names and attributes and being ensnared in Her net of Maya. Remembering Her always and everywhere, chanting Her names and then asking for Her Grace will create the right vibration to open us to the flow of the winds of Grace – and that would be the removal of the Bolt. In every sutra we bow to Her, remember one of Mother’s names and forms with intense devotion, we recite one of her qualities or boons – and then we petition Her: “ give us your form, give us victory, give us welfare, remove all hostility.” The first intention flows from us to Her – and the second from Her to us – the circle of love is complete. If we give her our devotion and cry for Her to help us – like the kitten meowing for the mother cat – She HAS to come to remove the Bolt. Love to All, usha -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Guest guest
Namaste Srini, for me, this quote from Before Becoming This seems to shed a light on the meaning of the Argala Stotram: " Thoughts are like a cloud that hides consciousness. When they are devoid of selfishness, they are more transparent. Consciousness cannot be seen until the thoughts contain only Godliness, whereupon they become totally transparent and allow us to perceive the one, pure consciousness. " we ask Mother to give us Her form instead of the form consisting of the clashing colours the ego likes. with love, Henny , " n_ramya108 " <n_ramya108 wrote: > > Dear Friends, > > Namaste! > > We are chanting the argala stotram this week. Guest guest
Namaste Ramya!!! As i was chanting chandi and thinking about this question, the thought which came to me was that the bolt might be our narrow mindedness or Maya which has made us always perceive things outside leading to conclusion that body and atma is different. As a result we undergo sufferings and question divine when situations are not favorable by continous sadhana -the bolt of our narrow mindedness will unfasten and we can gradually turn our thoughts inward and percveive the soul/atma. this way we will be unaffected by outward circumstances and can enjoy divine . The bolt can tame our " monkey minds " . JAI MAA Amrish , " n_ramya108 " <n_ramya108 wrote: > > Dear Friends, > > Namaste! > > We are chanting the argala stotram this week.
