Dear Kali, Usha, Henny, Vish, Amrish and Everybody!

Thanks for your very, very beautiful and insightful posts about the

bolt in the Argala Stotram.

Again and again the recitation of the scriptures reminds us that it is

only our selfishness and thoughts that keep us away from the Divine.

Again and again they remind us to " let go and let God. "

Here is a little summary of Aragala stotram before we start on

" kilakam " next week.

1. Argala stotram removes our barrier from God by asking Mother again

and again to give us:

(a) Rupam dehi - Her Form - We want to reflect divinity in our

thoughts, words and actions

(b) Jayam Dehi - Give us victory - This is victory over egotism and

selfishness

© yasho dehi, dwisho jehi - Give us welfare and remove all hostility

- so that our world is full of peace and we radiate that peace to the

Universe!

2. As we praise Mother and beg for these beautiful qualities - we

summarize Her activities! :) We tell Her we remember what She did in

the Chandi - So verse 2 relates to Ratri Suktam, Verse 3 to chapter 1,

verse 4 to second episode of Chandi path and so on.

3. The verses that follow tell us that if we bow down, worship and

praise Mother with devotion - She will give us everthing - beauty,

freedom from disease, supreme happiness...:):):)...the list goes on

and on! :)

4. Mother's praises are sung by Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra -- what

to talk about mere mortals like us! :)

5. To those who are devoted to Mother, She gives inexpressible peace

and Delight - She will give us a mind that is harmony with our soul --

which will take us to Her Lotus Feet!

Thank you for sharing and joining in this beautiful study!

Please join in and chant the kilakam this coming week. Kilakam is the

" Praise that Removes the Pin. " It consists of 14 very beautiful and

powerful verses!

Jai Maa!

ramya :)
