Navaratri was just completed and my wife, son, and I were filled with shakti. We realized we had to clean the house, top to bottom, and get in done in 12 hours. We had 2 choices: sleep or clean. So, we choose to clean. This became our sadhana, a cleaning puja, to offer respect to our home and to our coming guests. We worked and worked throughtout the evening and night into the early morning hours. The task finally complete, we went to bed. Upon waking 3 hoursw later,we came downstairs and the house felt like a Temple. We welcomed our guests like God, and we all enjoyed a wonderful sense of wholeness and balance. This sadhana produced such beautiful results. We really felt that Maa Shakti forced us to clean the clutter and bring orderliness to our home, as a fitting end of Navaratri. And, as a new beginning.
