Guest guest
Namaste all; On page 107 of the newest Chandi Path edition, it says: aim is the seed, hrim is the energy, klim is the pin. Please explain those mantras. I really love chanting all the verses in this vidhih. There is such power and energy moving through my body as I chant. I enliven all the aspects of Mother within myself when I chant. This chapter is the essense of the Chandi to me. Guest guest
" Please explain those mantras... " :-) Tee hee. This girl is more used to listening to explanations the giving them. I feel as if we are sort of like children playing at imitating their parents; a lttle girl dresses up like mommy and pretends...Here we play at being sages, imitating the great ones with love and devotion in our feeble attempts, baby steps, at describing the undescribable! Thank you all for this discussion, I appreciate it very much. Navarna is so sweet and powerful for me. To me the 3 bijas (seed syllables) are the embodiment of the glorious Triadic Shakti, threefold power of Maa. One could go on and on about triadic shakti as jnana/knowledge, kriya/action, and iccha/will, the 3 episodes of the Chandi, as Shri Vidya, as waking, dreaming, deep sleep, the gunas, sattva, rajas, tamas, 3 levels of speech/mantra, spoken, mumbled or whispered under the breath, and silent, in the mind only. Furthermore, the mantra, the deity of the mantra and the person reciting the mantra are one, as are the mantra, the guru and the shishya. More 3's...Maa Chamunda's grace manifests through this mantra and the seeker develops right knowledge, appropriate action and unshakable will, the qualities necessary in sadhana to carry one on to the Beyond, to the Fourth, beyond the mind, beyond the gunas, beyond the beyond... This mantra bears sweet fruit, one recieves the guru's grace, paramasukhadam, supreme happiness that comes from deep within our own heart of hearts, as past suffering, future worries and the samskaras, deep tendencies creating karmas, are cut away (vicche)by this sweet and terrible Grace. Aim! Hrim! Klim! Aim! The guru plants the seed of knowledge! Hrim! The seed germinates inside, and begins to grow! Klim! Unshakable will power and faith of the seeker to surrender to this process, having faith in the guru, shedding all the preconcieved notions and mere book knowledge, following the path as the teacher instructs. Klim is the pin the whole thing hangs on. Self-effort and attitude. Klim! The mind acts as a god or a demon to help us in our sadhana or to lure us away! May Chandi Maa always bless us all with the glorious fruits of Aim Hrim Klim! Thank you all for the invitation to come out and play! Guest guest
Yes I agree :PAnd thank you for those correlations. All these correspondances have got the mind jogging....now I know the panchakshari mantra Si Va Ya Na Ma corresponds with the tattvas in correlating to the bhutas the tanmatras etc....now is there a correspondance of the navakshari mantra to the tattvas, tanmatras and chakras and if so how? I know we put the the aksharas in the nyas in various places so do they correspond to elements, earth, water, fire, air, space? Can the navaksari mantra be permutated and the syllables rearranged in different orders to generate different effects?Klim is the pin the whole thing hangs on, what does that mean, and what does removing the pin mean? Does klim open the pin? Does it mean that unshakable faith in the guru unties the granthi of the heart? Does navakashari mantra make up the form of Maa Kali and will we invoke that form of Mother by repitition of these letters?Excuse all these questions....Im getting curious :)Much Love and Jai Sivasaktiericdeviloka <deviloka wrote: "Please explain those mantras..." :-) Tee hee. Guest guest
Namaste Ericji, The fact of the matter is, my post may be only be a bunch of devotional babble! What I can say absolutely is that this mantra has changed my life and I feel very, very, blessed. Sometimes this mind works in interesting ways. There are too many tattvas, too many chakras, too much " many " for this mind to hold and contemplate at times, and it is moving in a direction from the " many " to the " one " . Of course, I do actually like to " multi-task " , so I find that sometimes the mind can rest in the concept of three. So all the tattvas, chakras, elements, directions, etc. sort of get absorbed into three, and then the mind can begin to become one-pointed. I have not been in this group very long and I do not know very much about the details of Shree Maa's and Swamiji's teachings. I am still learning. With that in mind, I will say what I can! " Can the navaksari mantra be permutated and the syllables rearranged in different orders to generate different effects? " Wouldn't it be a different mantra then? " Klim is the pin the whole thing hangs on, what does that mean, and what does removing the pin mean? Does klim open the pin? " To me, and this is just an opinion, I see a pin like the pin that goes through the hinge of a door, when that pin is removed, the door comes unhinged. When the " pin " in the mantra is activated, the door of the ego becomes unhinged and the doorway within is opened and cleared of obstuction. I have heard that " klim " is the bija mantra of desire. What is desired here? The mind contains both desires that come from ignorance, what Shri Ramakrishna calls " Avidyamaya " , desires that lead away from the goals of sadhana, and also it contains desires that come from inner wisdom, " Vidyamaya " , " holy desires, like the desire for enlightenment, God-realization or whatever it may be called. Klim is the firm resolve(klim) to act (hrim) on the knowledge(aim) that we must purify the mind through sadhana and not let anything deter us from that path. " Does it mean that unshakable faith in the guru unties the granthi of the heart? " The avatars, saints, sages and yogis and the scriptures all seem to say that and more! Plus, they are also saying that this faith, combined with determined self-effort draws Grace. " Does navakashari mantra make up the form of Maa Kali and will we invoke that form of Mother by repitition of these letters? " What is NOT Maa Kali? (tee hee) Jaya Shiva Shakti Hooray! Jaya Maa and Swamiji Hooray! , Eric Cassils <Quanchula1 wrote: > > Yes I agree > And thank you for those correlations.
