Guest guest
as a new member, i don't know where to start. the first time i read about Shree Maa i was very amazed by how much devotion and reverence her followers gave her that i was persuaded to join this group, hoping to learn how to start practicing Bhakti myself. i have a general understanding of Bhakti yoga, but not an outline of some sort by which i can begin practicing. as a beginner, how should i spend my devotional time in the morning? can i become a devotee of Shree Maa even though i've never met her? if so, what can i do to serve her as Guru? thanks for helping answer my questions, Jason. Guest guest
Namaste Jason, Perhaps you could begin with the Sankalpa(the Saranagata Mantra), if your heart feels the calling. This practice is so beautiful for connecting with Maa. You could listen to the Ramprasaad songs Maa sings with incredible devotion as it is contagious. You can download mantras sung by Maa from the website, and follow the spiritual calendar. Even if you are not proficient in Sanskrit, with Maa's blessing you will be chanting in no time. I have never met Maa or Swami, but feel I am their devotee, sharing with everyone here, and attending satsangha online has helped me connect with them, and each day that connection grows stronger so much that I dream about the Mandir, chanting with Maa and Swami. Russill Paul sings a song Sree Maa on his Bhava Yoga album, sometimes I sing this to Maa.
