Guest guest
Namaste Everyone, I wish to learn how to recite the Chandi Path properly. Can someone help me and give me some guidelines or advice to make my study productive ? I am already working on the Durga Saptasloki, which I listen frequently on my Ipod in order to memorize it. Other than that, it is a very big task and some practical advice would be much appreciated. Thank you ! Julien, Vancouver, Canada.
Guest guest
Namaste Julien, I am also a beginner learning to recite the Chandi Path. I was so taken with The Siddha Kunjika Stotram that I recorded it repeatedly to export to my iPod. In the verses where I have had the most trouble hearing the sound transitions I do the following: import it to a program called “Audacity” (downloadable from the internet) where you can choose any section and either repeat it or change the speed. I slow it to about 85% and can clearly hear the pronunciation and transitions. I’ve not figured out how to record the ‘slowed’ down version and export, but I’m sure there is a way. The repeated sections are easily exported as mp3 or wav. The files within the program are saved as ‘au’ files. I have a most ‘busy’ mind, and have found since I’ve gone to sleep listening to the repeats of either the entire Stotram, or the main mantra within – repeated 216 times, that I find it automatically repeating itself later in the night, first thing in the morning and sometimes during the day going on in the background of what I am doing!
