Dear Marsha and Everyone,

In reference to the question about the Book “In Praise

Of The Goddess”. I would like to say, that for a long time I looked for

various references to the Devi Mahatmya, and also came across this book. In my

feeling, it is a scholarly work with a great deal of information, but for me, it

lacks the life, bhav and soul that Swamiji’s translation has in such

abundance. It is not presented as a sadhana and for daily chanting, therefore

many fine points are missing.

I am so grateful to have found Swamiji’s work –

it has made the Chandi accessible for me. I feel that he has captured the

living Goddess and is gifting Her to all of us. Love
