Guest guest
Namaste all: There is a wonderful verse, I cannot remember which text it comes from, but I will paraphrase it: " Oh Lord, give me a wife who can lead me across the ocean of objects an relationships. " Maa has blessed my wife and I and charged us with becoming an " ideal couple " . During the 11 years we have know Her, we have worked hard to unfold this reality in our daily lives. Through thick and thin, this concept has kept us united and made us stronger than we could ever have imagined. I would like to explore this concept with each of you. Tell me what this means to you and how you and your spouse have grown using the wisdom and guidance of Divine Gurus. Guest guest
Namaste Vish, Thanks for proposing this meditation on the second to last verse of the Athargaala stottrum. The wife must be in harmony with the mind and the changes of mind in order to lead the way across the ocean of objects and their relationships. If you do not yet have an external spouse, I think it could mean that one's internal relationship with Shakthi must be in harmony with one's mind/consciousness. That the consciousness must be lead by a wholesome sattvic luminous perfected Shakthi. No matter what difficulties one might encounter in the mind, the Shakthi can point the right way for the family( could mean physical family or internal mind family, Manas, Chitta, Buddhi, Ahamkara) to move across the ocean of samsara, the ocean of objects and their relationships, the many to the one, and the one to the many. When instead of the ahamkara agrandising out balance leads, the minds gets into further disharmony, but when Maa leads, she is the perfect wife, and takes across the ocean, leading without leading. This leads to greater integration and love between the mind and shakthi, and for the whole family.
