Dear Family,

Let us continue the discussion of the holy Chandi Path!

Verse 65 is encouraging:

" Notwithstanding that She is eternal and unborn, nevertheless when

divine ones perform actions for the attainment of this cause (Her),

She becomes manifest. "

She will take time out of Her busy schedule:)

Verse 94 is perplexing:

Lord Vishnu fought with Madhu and Kaitabha for 5000 years. Why did the

Supreme Consciousness have to fight for so long? What does this imply

in our battle to defeat " too much " and " too little " in our lives?

I look forward to your thoughts and discussion!

with love,

srini

Dear Srini,

Thanks for this interesting thread. In appliying these verses to life

-

At verse 65 we see Mother taking time from Her busy schedule to come to

us but then in vs 66 we become complacent and relax forgetting that

without constant sadhana (atha kilakam) we lose our attainment.

verse 94 : Thought it took 5000 years for the Gods to defeat " too much "

and " too little " , the Gods achieved success with patience and one

pointed attention on the goal.

At vs 100 we also see how persons can be deceived by the outer

appearance.. There was chaos all around but the Lord of the universe was

at peace with his soul, he was in union and hence was able to destroy

these negative thoughts.

Dear Vish and Kali Maa,

Thank you for your thoughtful posts!

Yesterday, Shree Maa said that these 5000 years actually means 5000

lifetimes.
